Casual Days for Kids
What is the “Casual Days for Kids” program?
“Casual Days for Kids” is a simple, enjoyable fundraising program that can be scheduled
by your school or business at any point throughout the year. Students, teachers
and employees are asked to make a recommended donation of a dollar or more to participate
in the scheduled “dress down” day. On the scheduled day, participants arrive wearing
their favorite casual clothing and are given a sticker to wear. Other options include
hosting a school color day, a pajama day, or any other theme day. Be creative! As
with all donations, 100% of the funds raised through this program will stay local
to directly benefit our neighbors in need throughout the Western New York area.
What else is involved?
Once your organization has decided to go “Casual for a Cause,” Child & Family Services
will provide a “Casual Days for Kids” kit which includes all the materials you will
need to make your event a success. This kit contains: promotional posters announcing
your scheduled event, participant stickers, and money collection envelopes. The
kit should be given to a contact person selected from within your organization.
This contact person will typically handle event responsibilities, including: displaying
the posters throughout the building, distributing participant stickers, distributing
and collecting the money collection envelopes, calculating total funds collected,
and presenting the donation check to Child and Family Services.
