When John Spitzmiller joined the board of Child & Family Services more than 40 years ago, he was challenged to commit to it 100%. He's lived up to that challenge in many ways. Most recently, he and his wife Amy are chairing the Agency's upcoming premiere fundraiser, Heartlight.
The Spitzmillers are planning an evening that will be entertaining and highlight how Child & Family Services strengthens families from Foster Care & Adoption to domestic violence prevention to educational opportunities for children with emotional and behavioral needs. John is humbled by all the ways counselors, social workers and teachers help our community. He says, "I can't imagine what that's like to take on that burden every single day." It's one reason why he's continued to work with Child & Family Services all of these years and serve as chair at this year's Heartlight. John explains, "If we can get people to remember what Child & Family Services does for the least of us, then we all become better people."
John and Amy invite you to help build a better community by attending Heartlight on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 5:30 pm at the Foundry on Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo. Tickets are available right now with all proceeds benefiting Child & Family Services.
