New Stars and Stripes Fly at Falk School

Staff and students at the Stanley G. Falk School, (Delaware campus) had the unique opportunity to hold a ceremony for the changing of the flag.  Mr. Polka, a Rossler Support Counselor who recently returned from Afghanistan, worked with two of the Junior Falcons to teach them the proper technique for flag folding.   During the memorable ceremony, students from the Rossler campus demonstrated their musical talents by a special performance from the drum corp and a clarinetist.  Students learned about the significance of the US flag and the specific procedures for proper disposal of worn and damaged flags.  The retired flag was then donated to another Falk staff member who participates in an organization that restores old flags.
