Buffalo, NY - Child & Family Services' Center for Resolution and Justice
is partnering with the Erie County Restorative Justice Coalition to help spread the message and value of restorative justice to local educators. Recently, we presented restorative practices workshops at three local school districts as part of Professional Development Day programming.
Andy Prinzing and Julie Loesch presented at Erie 1 BOCES to approximately 200 Career and Tech Ed and Twilight Team teachers, administrators and staff. The group also included administrators and counselors at the Charter School for Applied Technologies. Dina Thompson, with assistance from Scott Orrange, led a training on Restorative Practices for about 150 Maryvale employees.
We are grateful and energized by our school communities and their commitment to restorative justice as they support the social, emotional and academic needs of our young people.
