On Thursday, May 15th, Agency supporters gathered at the Statler City in downtown Buffalo for Child & Family Services’ 2014 Celebration of Friends event. Community advocates, staff members and friends of the Agency were honored with awards recognizing their outstanding contributions to building safe and healthy communities for individuals and families in Western New York.

The Buyers Family – Susan T. Siwiec Distinguished Donor AwardThe Buyers Family is recognized for their continued donations of time, talents and generous financial support which helps sustain the Agency’s vital programs and services.
Lisa Catanese & Shaun Fryling – William B. Hoyt Memorial Advocacy Award
Foster and adoptive parents Lisa Catanese and Shaun Fryling are honored for their efforts to raise awareness of the need for foster and adoptive parents, helping to ensure that children in our community have safe, loving families.
Iana Lal – Janet B. Wattles Staff Award
Iana Lal, Team Leader in the Agency’s Cheektowaga Counseling Office, is commended for her enthusiasm, initiative and dedication to supporting her colleagues and clients in the Sexual Offender Management Program, Family Mental Health Program and Anger Management Program.
Matthew Leboeuf – Stanley G. Falk Memorial Award for Distinguished Educators
Mr. Leboeuf teaches at the Stanley G. Falk School’s Rossler location and is recognized for his exceptional efforts to support his students in achieving their goals and building skills for life-long success.
Michael K. Walsh – John N. Walsh, Jr. Board Appreciation Award
Agency Board Member Michael K. Walsh is honored for his dedicated support, leadership and guidance as a member of Child & Family Services’ Board of Directors for 24 years, serving as Chair of the Board from 2008-2011.
