Home and Community-Based Services Waiver Program

Child and Family Services coordinates the Home and Community-Based Services Waiver Program which allows individuals to receive treatment while remaining in their home or community setting. The population served through the Home and Community-Based Services Waiver Program are children ages 5 to17 who live in Erie County and are diagnosed with serious emotional disturbances.

The goal of Home and Community-Based Waiver Program is to help children with severe emotional issues reach their fullest potential through a variety of individualized care coordination services. We offer other support services to supplement the needs of both the child and the family: crisis response services, intensive in-home services, respite care, skill building services and family support.
