Counseling

Family Mental Health

Child and Family Services recognizes that healthy families are the building blocks of our community. Our clinics, licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health, work with children, adults and seniors on how to become healthy, productive members of society. The therapists offer assessment and treatment for mental health issues such as mood disorders, childhood/adolescent disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders and adjustment disorders.

Any person, with emotional problems, from age three through adulthood in need of individual, family or group counseling can qualify for services. Counseling may be as brief as one to six sessions, or may require a longer period of time. Services are determined on an individual basis by the client and counselor. Medicaid, medicare and most private insurances are accepted forms of payment. Walk-ins are accepted or individuals can call on their own for an intake appointment.
